Tasting Card
This Mezcal Tasting Note Card is a thoughtfully designed tool for mezcal enthusiasts who want to document and deepen their tasting experiences. Titled “Mezcal: Earth, Fire & Smoke,” it invites users to record key details of the mezcal being sampled, including brand, agave type, style, proof, origin, and age. This section allows for clear cataloging of different expressions and is ideal for building a personal tasting archive.
The second section, Sensory Evaluation, guides tasters through an in-depth analysis of appearance, aromas, and flavors, followed by notes on the mezcal’s finish. It includes dedicated space to reflect on the length, quality, and evolution of the finish—key markers in understanding the complexity of a spirit like mezcal.
The Intensity scale helps users score various flavor characteristics (earthy, smoky, fruity, floral, etc.) from 1 to 10, offering a structured approach to what can otherwise be a subjective experience.
Additionally, the card features sections on Balance & Complexity and Finish Quality, encouraging more nuanced reflection on how the different flavor elements interact and unfold over time. Decorative borders and a clean, structured layout make this card both functional and visually engaging.
